Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy brings on Atlas Marketing to support website ADA compliance
ADA compliance is the reason the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy has engaged with Atlas Marketing to strengthen the existing organization’s website and meet compliance requirements of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
The project objective is to ensure that all members of the Pittsburgh community can experience the Conservancy’s website in a consistent manner regardless of disabilities or health-related issues.
Within the project, Atlas Marketing will:
- Conduct a website audit to include visuals, colors and fonts used in the creation of the site.
- Remediate the website to improve site interface, keyboard navigation, visual design, update Alt text within images and graphics, and develop closed caption opportunities for videos and interactive components.
- Provide training for Conservancy staff to maintain recommended site improvements
When completed the site will achieve WCAG 2.1 compliance established by the World Wide Web Consortium.
