Intern Signing Off
As a rising junior at Penn State focusing on digital multimedia design, I found the best fit for me as an intern was with Atlas Marketing. With the help of the Atlas team, I spent time learning more about website development, account management, social media, SEO, brand standards development, social media graphic creation, promotional product development, and client contracts. It was a lot!
During my time with Atlas, I saw a whole side of the marketing industry I had not seen before. My role as the intern at Atlas Marketing was different than other digital design interns. I was pulled in to collaborate on a myriad of projects. These projects included social media production, brand standard development, client contracts, website development, and the early stages of app development.
Social media training
On my first day, I began to create a training session that focused on TikTok and Snapchat. With a shaky voice, I stood in front of the Atlas team. As I spoke, I discussed topics I never would have thought applied to social media. Those topics included SEO, goal-based bidding systems, and algorithms. As this internship strengthened my role as a designer, it also developed skills as I collaborated with others.
The best part
While I’m sad my time as the intern at Atlas Marketing has ended, I could not be happier with the skills I learned and the connections I made during my time. I have made life-long friends and lasting relationships from this opportunity, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I want to say thank you to everyone at Atlas Marketing. This summer was an opportunity to allow my creative skills to flourish.
From the bottom of my heart thank you,
Intern signing off.
